Rachel is the Director of Watson Thomas Solicitors. Rachel established Watson Thomas is May 2013, having gained invaluable experience as a Matrimonial Partner within a local firm, since 2006.

When Rachel established Watson Thomas Solicitors, she felt there was a real need for a solicitor who departed from the qualities of the more traditional firm, which may not always be in keeping with the modern times. Rachel wanted to show that solicitors can be modern, friendly, down to earth and efficient, without costing the client their life savings. She wanted to demonstrate that solicitors can and should be transparent about their fees. The client should know what they are paying for and how much they will ever spend on their case. She feels that the client should be comfortable with their solicitor. They should be able to pop in for a chat, or pick up the phone and speak to their solicitor if they wish without feeling intimidated.

Rachel has ensured that Watson Thomas has evolved in such a way to ensure that the above criteria are met. Watson Thomas is the only specialist Matrimonial Firm in Fleet and so, offers an exclusive service for clients experiencing matrimonial difficulties.

Rachel has a wealth of experience, dealing with a variety of different cases, for a wide range of clients. Rachel is well versed in negotiating complex financial settlements as well as day to day financial disputes and deals with all divorce transactions, both large and small. Her other areas of expertise are all matters relating to children, particularly contact and residence disputes, cohabitee disputes, living together and pre-nuptial agreements and civil partnership matter.

Rachel is recognised for her personable and down to earth approach. Her ability to immediately set clients at ease and grasp those issues which are important to the client, means that her clients have immense trust and confidence in her.

Rachel is a member of Resolution and advocates the use of conciliation and collaboration where possible but equally, will take a robust stance on behalf of her client where necessary so as to ensure the best result is achieved for her client.

Outside of work, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and takes pleasure in exploring the countryside with her dog, Barney.
