Everyone should have a Will so that their assets may be dealt with in accordance with their wishes and so that it does not fall under the Intestacy Rules.
It allows you to decide what will happen with your assets upon your death, who will look after your affairs and who you would like to receive your estate. There is also the fact that if you have children under the age of 18, you are able to appoint Guardians who will assume the parental responsibility of your children should both you and their other parent pass away.
A Will checklist should include the full names and addresses of who you want to appoint as your Executors and Trustees, provide details of your funeral wishes, Guardians and Beneficiaries.
