Simone Parchow-Hosmer - Solicitor
Job Title: Solicitor
Qualifications: LLB Law
Specialist Area: Family and Matrimonial Law
Date of admission to the Roll: January 2010
Simone has specialised in family law since 2007.
She has gained experience of a wide range of legal issues arising out of the breakdown of a relationship, such as divorce, including dealing with the financial issues which arise out of the separation and helping to resolve disagreements concerning the care of the children.
She advises on cases which have a foreign element, such as applications for financial remedy after a foreign divorce and to stop children being taken out of the jurisdiction. She has also dealt with various cases where domestic abuse was an issue and is sensitive to the fact that the breakdown of a relationship is for many people one of the most difficult and stressful experiences that they will encounter. She is therefore recommended for providing clear and thoughtful advice in a calm and compassionate manner.
Simone handles cases with pragmatism, setting out complex issues clearly and in detail, step by step, to allow the client to make a fully informed decision. She always aims to provide clients with an efficient, organised and cost effective service.
Simone follows the code set by Resolution, which encourages a non-confrontational, constructive approach to the issues at hand. This approach not only assists both parties in moving forward, which can be invaluable where children are involved, but is also usually the most cost effective way of dealing with family matters.
Simone studied English and German Law at the University of Liverpool and spent a year in Wuerzburg, Germany before completing the Legal Practice Course at the College of Law in Guildford.
Outside of work Simone enjoys swimming, reading, spending time with family and friends and travelling. Simone is a native German speaker and also speaks some Spanish
